Ideal Body
Weight Calculator
Find your ideal weight range based on clinical formulas. We use the Devine, Robinson, and Miller equations to provide a comprehensive view of your target healthy weight.
Results are shown in kg. These formulas are estimates based on height and gender.
How Is Ideal Weight Calculated?
There is no single “perfect” weight for everyone, but clinical formulas provide a healthy target range based on your height and biological sex. Our calculator uses the three most widely recognized formulas in medicine and nutrition:
- The Devine Formula: The most common formula used in clinical settings to determine drug dosages.
- The Robinson Formula: A modification of Devine’s formula intended to be more accurate for modern populations.
- The Miller Formula: Often considered more accurate for individuals with smaller frames.
Why Your Ideal Weight Matters
Maintaining a weight within your ideal range reduces the risk of chronic conditions such as Type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and hypertension. However, it’s important to remember that these formulas do not account for muscle mass or body fat percentage.
Which Formula Should You Trust?
For most people, the Average Ideal Weight provided by our calculator is the best starting point. Athletes or those with significant muscle mass may find that their “ideal” weight is higher than these formulas suggest, as muscle is denser than fat.
How to Use This Tool
Simply enter your height and gender. The tool will instantly calculate your targets using all three formulas. We recommend aiming for a range within 5-10% of these results for a sustainable, healthy lifestyle.
